Soaring Report, Sunday June 13th

Hey! What a day.  Lots of Florida sunshine and rising air.

Lots of activity on the field.  Line Chief Don Kursinnsky had everything organized early and stuck it out until everything was bedded down. First launch before noon and tow pilot Mike Pilert, didn't stable the Pawnee  until after 5 PM.  About a dozen launches including simulated towline breaks.

Ed flew off quickly in his own power plane, but we will catch him later to celebrate.   Ron Sutton flew two Intro flights in the S 2-32, and I heard that one of the guests decided to join the club. I lost track of who all flew, but Harlan had a good go in his Vega.  In Blaniks, besides Ed and Russ's flights,  Bud Vacey & Roger Francis, Ted Nelson & Dan Becker, and some  pilot by himself who was seen at close range somewhere above 4,000' but not identified.  Apologies to those I missed.

Also at the club, were Lee Ellis who sewed some new vinyl water bottle/hand-held pockets for the Blaniks. Steve Taylor and glider partner Andy McQuigg, and Allan Broadribb who enjoyed the shade and scenery at the big oak tree and Theresa Hadlett.
